Job description

Country Partners Cooperative is a full-service diversified agricultural cooperative in central Nebraska located in 20 communities, partnering with farmers and ranchers to accomplish more together.

SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for assisting the Location Manager with the effective management and coordination of the agronomy operations at the agronomy plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Working with multiple locations in communication of application orders, batching orders, and ensuring trucks get loaded with correct product.

  • Must have essential knowledge of material handling equipment and how to maintain that equipment.

  • Responsible for consulting with producers and making appropriate recommendations of crop nutrients, crop protection, seed, and precision ag.

  • Must be an effective communicator.

  • Must have effective organization skills.

  • Schedule and dispatch application equipment assigned to the location.

  • Responsible for assisting with managing the locations inventory.

  • Required to work with Location Manager on product inventory needs and location space management. This will be accomplished by knowing what is on hand, the demand for each product, and ordering product in timely fashion to serve the customer.

  • Work with Location Manager to maintain a high level of customer service by operating the plant to meet demand needs.

  • Operate the plant in accordance with the Cooperatives safety policies, maintenance program, and housekeeping standards.

  • Perform regular inventories, verify physical on-hand to accounting system.

  • Other duties assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS

Ability to use the following Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, Excel, and Word. Must be able to learn and use the cooperatives agronomy software. Can also use the latest technology communications services email, texting, and smartphone operation.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Commercial Driver’s License is recommended not required.
