Business Office Manager-LTC 

Job Title: LTC Business Office Manager 

Location: Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy, Omaha, NE

Department: Administration 

Reports to: Administrator 

Position Type: Full-time Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm 

Job Summary: 

Effectively lead the Business Office and ensure timely and accurate billing, financial accountability and other assigned business operations. 

Work Environment: 

Office setting within a fast pace skilled nursing facility. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Timely establish financial accountability at every admission 

  • PASARR screenings 

  • Resolve pending cases for government payor coverage 

  • Bill Medicaid & Medicare for all covered services provided 

  • Bill VA and Hospice for all covered services provided 

  • Monthly close of SNF books 

  • Manage resident trust accounts

  • Effectively manage budgeting, performance and policies within the department 

Qualifications: 

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or Business Management or High School Diploma with at least 2 years of Business Office experience in and/or related to healthcare billing. 

  • Current knowledge of accounts receivable management, basic accounting procedures, insurance/third party billing procedures & computerized office system operations. 

  • Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facility, or assisted living community with Medicare/Medicaid billing procedures- required.
