Job Summary:
Loma Linda University Health is a faith-based institution focused on teaching and healing. The Project Manager IT is responsible for delivering service excellence by managing projects within the Integrated Delivery System, ensuring they meet timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver service excellence utilizing people, processes, and technology in an Integrated Delivery System (IDS).
• Provide consultative support to the Project Director and Project Service Leaders.
• Initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects according to the established Project Management Methodology to ensure project meets or exceeds timeline, budget and quality expectations.
• Request resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
• Work with IS Unified Infrastructure leadership to define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
• Interact regularly with IS leadership, the Strategic Program Management Office.
• Utilize leadership skills, sound judgment, and discretion to positively impact project teams and overall project success.
• Make management presentations and submit reports as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree required or an additional three years of experience required in lieu of Degree.
• Minimum five years of experience in project management in all aspects of project delivery required.
• Knowledge and understanding of clinical processes and workflow.
• Able to use project planning software, spreadsheets, and word processing software; input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone.
• Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS project, Access, etc).
• Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate; accept direction.
• Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers.
• Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills.
• Able to organize technical work; demonstrate excellent planning, problem solving, analysis, documentation, presentation and organization skills; analyze and interpret data, processes and needs based on limited information; organize work and resources; define problems and solutions, prioritize work load; make recommendations; manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effective.
• Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
• Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Preferred:
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Healthcare project management preferred.
• Certification in Project Management, such as Preferred Project Management Institute (PMP or CAPM), International Institute for Learning (APMC), or American Academy of Project Management preferred.
• EPIC certification preferred and may be required within one year of employment.
