Daikin Applied is hiring a Senior Manager - Corporate Development - Integrations! Daikin Applied Americas (DAA) designs and manufactures advanced commercial and industrial HVAC systems for customers in end markets such as manufacturing, health care and data centers. The Company's technology and services play a vital role in creating comfortable, efficient and sustainable spaces to work and live. DAA's Corporate Strategy & Development team supports long-term profitable growth through strategic planning / programs and end-to-end corporate development, from M&A strategy to transaction execution to integration.
The Corporate Development Integrations team within Corporate Strategy & Development drives integration planning and execution for acquisitions and other strategic transactions. The team works closely with business leaders and the cross-functional team to drive integration planning, operational implementation, synergy capture and overall value creation for corporate development. Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MN (strongly preferred), Remote IL (preferred), but also open to other remote positions for the right candidates
What you will do:
  • Help drive overall end-to-end corporate development processes, focusing on the integrations
  • Develop and manage project plans, inc. coordination of large cross-functional project teams
  • Align with Business leads and Target leadership team on deal rationale and integration approach
  • Lead cross-functional teams through integration planning, Day 1 and integration execution
  • Coordinate with outside partners / service providers
  • Drive synergy analysis / planning, and actions to capture
  • Coordinate with Corp Dev Transactions team
  • Support communication with executive leadership and the corporate approval process
  • Support development of the extended corporate development team and continuous improvement / playbook development

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years in M&A, consulting, investment banking, or Corporate Development
  • M&A integration experience as project leader and/or functional expert
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical skills, with ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights
  • Proven project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Timeline management, cross-functional leadership skills and experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence and build consensus

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years in M&A, investment banking, or Corporate Development
  • Process improvement experience such as lean and / or six sigma
  • Applied HVAC industry knowledge
  • Corporate Strategy and / or M&A Transactions experience

The range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls is $113,800.00 - $193,900 + 20% bonus target in Minnesota. (Targeted pay rate is $160,000 to $185,000). Individual pay rate will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
