LaSalle Network is partnering with a respected healthcare organization in downtown Chicago to hire a Healthcare Call Center Representative on a contract-to-hire basis. Healthcare Call Center Representative Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, providers and vendors regarding healthcare benefits, eligibility, claims and plan information
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls while delivering accurate, professional and empathetic customer service
  • Research and resolve benefit, eligibility and claim inquiries by identifying root causes and coordinating with internal teams
  • Interpret and explain healthcare benefit plans, policies and eligibility requirements to participants and external partners
  • Maintain and update participant records, ensuring accuracy across claims and eligibility systems
  • Review documentation, verify information and request additional records when necessary
  • Coordinate claim adjustments, payment corrections and reimbursement recoveries while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Explain medical, disability, life insurance and weekly illness and injury benefit programs
  • Process stop payments, void requests and other benefit-related transactions
  • Scan, index and maintain documentation within electronic imaging systems
  • Collaborate across departments to support daily operations, cross-training and continuous process improvements
  • Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
Healthcare Call Center Representative Requirements
  • Previous call center, customer service, healthcare, insurance or benefits administration experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
