Position Summary
The Administrative Support role for the Center for Memory & Aging provides comprehensive support to ensure the efficient operation of a multidisciplinary clinical, research, and education program focused on memory disorders in older adults. This position serves as the primary administrative resource for the Center, supporting the Center Director, faculty, and affiliated staff, while also contributing to the coordination of activities related to the NIH-funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) and other grants.
Responsibilities include managing daily operations such as purchasing, inventory control, data entry, and general office coordination. The role acts as the first point of contact for incoming communications, including phone triage, and ensures inquiries are handled promptly and professionally. Working closely with the Senior Program Manager, this position supports ongoing projects, maintains organized administrative systems, and facilitates communication across clinical, research, and academic teams. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience: (Mustbe detailed in your resume or cover letter):
  1. Experience working with UNM financial software, including Chrome River, Banner, Lobomart
  2. Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  3. Knowledge of HIPAA Policies and Procedures
  4. Drafting, proofing, and editing correspondence
  5. Experience in meeting coordination - virtual and in person
  6. Currently have or eligible for a P-Card (Purchasing Card)
