Job description

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont is looking for a Health & Wellbeing Educator to join our Client Solutions team. COMPENSATION: The base salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. Additional compensation opportunities and incentives will be detailed during the interview process. Please note that the range listed above is our good faith estimate of the hiring range for this role. If you are hired at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, experience, and internal equity across the current team. We also offer a robust benefits package with significant value (see below).

LOCATION: This role is a hybrid position with the expectation that the employee will be in our Berlin, VT office on Wednesdays with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week. Travel to events throughout Vermont is required as needed. May include evenings and weekends.

Health & Wellbeing Educator Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermontโ€™s commitment to improving member health outcomes through education, coaching, and wellbeing engagement strategies
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of health and wellbeing programs, educational events, and tools that promote whole-person wellbeing, prevents chronic disease, and supports sustainable behavior change in alignment with Blue Cross VTโ€™s BeWell@Work program.
  • Deliver individual and group health coaching sessions (in-person, telephonic, and virtual).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support wellness initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Play a key role in advancing member engagement, enhancing program effectiveness, and supporting a data-informed approach to health and wellbeing.

Health & Wellbeing Educator Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in public health, Exercise Science, Applied Health, Dietetics, Psychology, or related field required.
  • 2โ€“4 years of experience in health and wellness education, coaching, or related field.
  • Certification in one or more or equivalent of the following required:
    • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
    • National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)
    • Registered Dietitian (RDN)
    • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel throughout Vermont and willingness to travel throughout Vermont as necessary.
