Per Diem Group Facilitator โ€“ Licensed Clinician | Teen Residential Treatment Muir Wood Teen Treatment | Riverside County, CA| $60โ€“$100/hour |LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD/PsyD


What This Role Is

Muir Wood Teen Treatment is building a roster of licensed Per Diem Group Facilitators to lead therapeutic groups in our Joint Commission-accredited residential program for adolescents ages 12โ€“17. You set your availability โ€” we match you to open shifts as needs arise.

We're looking for clinicians who want an ongoing relationship: the kind where you become familiar with our teens, our milieu, and our clinical approach over time.

Requirements:

Schedule & Pay

  • $60โ€“$100/hour based on licensure and experience
  • No minimum hour requirements
  • You provide availability โ€” single days, recurring shifts, or multi-week stretches
  • Weekday, evening, and weekend options available
  • Advance notice provided whenever possible

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate DBT, CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed group therapy sessions
  • Lead psychoeducational, skills-based, and process groups for adolescents in residential care
  • Manage group dynamics and maintain a safe therapeutic environment
  • Complete group notes and clinical documentation per program standards
  • Coordinate with the Clinical Director and residential therapists on group content
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and notify clinical staff immediately

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, or MFT
  • Active California license in good standing: LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD, or PsyD
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups in a clinical setting
  • Competency in at least one evidence-based modality (DBT, CBT, ACT, or trauma-focused)
  • Familiarity with adolescent development, co-occurring disorders, and trauma-informed care

Preferred

  • Experience in residential, inpatient, IOP, or PHP settings with adolescents
  • DBT training, especially skills group format
  • Background in substance use, dual-diagnosis, or family systems work
