Job description

Arc Health PBC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Family Practice for a local contract job in Pacific City, Oregon.

Job Description & Requirements

ARC Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a 13-week locum tenens assignment near Pacific City, OR. The NP will provide comprehensive primary care services to Tribal members, members of other federally recognized tribes, and community patients.

The ideal candidate is comfortable treating patients across the lifespan and independently managing routine, acute, and chronic health conditions.

Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM โ€“ 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 1:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 PM
  • Closed on Tribal holidays
  • Same-day appointments for established patients with acute concerns
  • Participation in after-hours telephone consultation may be required 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform physical examinations and preventive health visits
  • Provide family medicine, pediatric, womenโ€™s health, and well-child care
  • Manage diabetes and other chronic illnesses
  • Provide family planning and contraceptive services
  • Administer or order CDC-recommended immunizations
  • Provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), if appropriately trained
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state laws and clinic policies
  • Coordinate referrals for imaging, specialty care, and external services
  • Perform approved outpatient procedures
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, behavioral health, nursing, and support staff

  • Skin biopsies
  • Toenail removal
  • Pap smears
  • Nexplanon insertion and removal
  • Steroid, joint, and trigger-point injections
  • Wound care
  • Other minor procedures within the NP scope of practice 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or relevant primary care specialty
  • Active, unrestricted NP/APRN license
  • Active DEA registration with prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience in outpatient primary care
  • Ability to treat patients across the lifespan
