ABOUT ST. DAVID'S FOUNDATION

St. David's Foundation is a community-focused and equity-driven organization supporting health and wellness in Central Texas. It is one of the largest health foundations in the United States, funding more than $100 million annually in a five-county area surrounding Austin, Texas.

Through a unique partnership with St. David's HealthCare, the Foundation strategically reinvests proceeds from the hospital system back into the community, with a goal of advancing health equity and addressing the needs of the communities facing the greatest health challenges.

Beyond grantmaking, the Foundation operates the largest mobile dental program in the country, providing highly accessible, quality oral healthcare, and offers the largest healthcare scholarship program in Texas, the St. David's Neal Kocurek Scholarship Program.

JOB PURPOSE

The Systems Administrator is responsible for implementation, operation, and maintenance of the St David's Foundation IT infrastructure and systems. This position provides tier II service desk support for Foundation users across all work locations, including the Foundation's San Antonio Street office, Dental Hub, mobile dental clinics, and remote work locations. The Systems Administrator will maintain HIPAA compliance for the organization by ensuring systems are updated, maintained, and operating in accordance with all applicable organizational policies, standards, and procedures.

The Systems Administrator installs, diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and upgrades Foundation workstation and server hardware, software, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

This position must be able to interact effectively with staff members across the organization, and provide technology, security, and compliance training, as appropriate, for staff with various levels of technological experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field and minimum of 5 years of relevant technology support and administration experience; or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field and minimum of 3 years of relevant technology support and administration experience.
  • Experience with the administration, installation and support of Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory and/or EntraID.
  • Experience supporting network firewalls and VPN solutions.
  • Experience with voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems.
  • Knowledge of database concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot personal computer and server issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train users of differing degrees of computer experience in the use of new and existing computer applications.
  • High degree of proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of proficiency in the support of various computer applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of relevant technology support and administration experience.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry and understanding of HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience with MacOS platforms.
  • Experience with mobile device management solutions.
  • Experience with dental, healthcare, grants and/or fundraising software.
  • Technical working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online, Windows Server, Azure and Linux.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • Familiarity with various Help Desk ticketing systems.
  • Preferred technical certifications: Microsoft MCSA (or current equivalent: Endpoint Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Azure Administrator, and Microsoft 365 Administrator).
  • CompTIA Certification (Network+, Security+, Server+).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with effective verbal, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
