R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (R&K) is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with core capabilities in Mission Support, Engineering and Logistics, Cybersecurity and Intelligence, Environmental and Emergency Management, Exercise and Training, and Defense Healthcare in support of our Defense, Intelligence, and Federal Civilian customers.
R&K has the opportunity to provide functional system administrators to support varying intelligence programs, applications, and operations for technical, advanced, and supplemental training for the 315 TRS and the 313 TRS training squadrons at Goodfellow AFB, TX. The 315 TRS executes seven Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC)-awarding pipeline courses. The 313 TRS executes 15 advanced and supplemental courses. Capabilities and knowledge under this task will aid the 315 TRS and 313 TRS to maximize student throughput by optimizing resources - personnel, facilities, and equipment - through the assessment of boundary access, prioritization, and conditions.
The R&K Team is seeking a full-time Functional System Administrator. This is a rare opportunity for incredible growth in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) with network opportunities to gain insight and learn from a variety of subject matter experts in the intelligence community and IT field.
Title: Functional System Administrator
Location: Goodfellow AFB, TX,
Duration: Permanent/ Full-Time
Clearance: TS/SCI Clearance Required
Start Date: Upon Approval
Duties: The successful candidate shall:
  • Serve as the focal point for all intelligence training applications or systems; respond to user requests for assistance and provide support to customers regarding hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Identify and resolve common problems, questions, or situations and provides support in a manner that minimizes interruptions to the customer's ability to carry out the training mission.
  • Provide training to instructors and other FSAs on intelligence applications, specialized computer software, and operating systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and install software applications and hardware peripherals on Windows, Unix, and Linux platforms.
  • Develop and maintain system administration standard operating procedures, technical guides, and instructions.
  • Support the use of computer-based training products (i.e. computer-assisted instruction (CAI), interactive courseware (ICW), interactive multimedia instruction (IMI), and learning management systems (LMS)), to maximize resources and return on investment (ROI).
  • Maintain consolidated IMI project effort tracking spreadsheet to synchronize training requirements with outside development efforts and deliver/maintain all updates and new courseware created.
  • Duties will also include the following:
    • JTT-CP Customer support
    • TAW support
    • Perform imaging for all workstations under squadron purview
    • Act as helpdesk for customer-related issues on NIPRNet/SIPRNet
    • Create, configure, move, and maintain all accounts under squadron purview
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all intelligence applications on thick-clients/CPUs
    • Design, install, configure, and maintain NetApp storage utilized by squadron that acts as the primary file service to include implementing Discretionary Access Control List (DACL)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA): Candidate must have the following qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years on-the-job Information Technology (IT) experience which shall include performance of highly specialized work in an expert capacity on highly complex or specialized IT systems/equipment in support of technical training in the intelligence environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in no less than three of the following intelligence training applications:
    • Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS)
    • Geospatial Product Library (GPL)
    • ARCGIS
    • Digital Mapping Applications
    • Joint Targeting Toolkit-Capability Package (JTT-CP)
    • Electronic Light Table (ELT) and/or current mission planning software
    • Account Management and Security Group Maintenance
    • LMS administration and training support
    • IMI delivery systems and applications
  • Minimum of COMPTIA Security + certification required
  • Must possess the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Must maintain current knowledge with respect to state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
