Job description

Immediate need for a talented Healthcare Insurance Customer Service & Outreach Representative. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Portland , OR(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $25/hr - $27/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the sales team during Open Enrollment from September through December
  • Support in-person seminars and community events
  • Educate members on client Permanente health plan options, benefits, and pricing
  • Answer questions from prospective and existing members clearly and professionally
  • Provide phone support for member inquiries
  • Help coordinate and support seminar activities and field visits
  • Work with Sales Executives to ensure a smooth and positive member experience
  • Travel throughout the Portland metro service area as needed
  • Maintain professionalism while representing client Permanente at events
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, customer service, sales support, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to work flexible hours and support event-based schedules
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow training before field shadowing
  • Healthcare or health insurance experience
  • Experience supporting seminars, events, outreach, or member education
  • Familiarity with health plan products and benefits
