Overview
Interventional Radiology Tech travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start date: 06/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,842–$2,987 per week. Shift: 4x10s (10-hour days), Monday through Friday. This is a hospital-based travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Credentialing required prior to start, with credentials due one week before start. The IR unit operates with a siloed, fast-paced setup and high patient volume.

Responsibilities
- Assist interventional radiology procedures as the scrub tech, maintaining sterile technique and readiness of equipment
- Operate imaging equipment within the IR suite, monitoring patient status and providing contrast administration support per protocol
- Prepare and position patients for complex IR procedures; assist procedures requiring catheter-based access and imaging guidance
- Manage documentation, case log throughput, and procedural counts; ensure accuracy of images and procedural notes
- Maintain the Siemens Artis systems (single-plane) and support overall suite operations
- Uphold patient safety, radiation safety practices, and infection control standards; collaborate with the IR team to manage high-volume workflows
Requirements
- Active ARRT Radiography certification (in hand)
- Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (can apply after offer)
- IR experience: minimum 2 years in interventional radiology; scrub experience required
- Experience preferred: 3+ years in IR, large hospital setting; peripheral and neurovascular procedures highly valued
- Ability to work in a fast-paced IR environment with 7-room capacity and high daily case volume
- Orientation requirements: weekly orientation (Mon–Tue) and nursing orientation (Wed–Fri) on a bi-weekly schedule
- Credentialing: credentials due at least 1 week prior to start
