Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Food Service Workers to support operations at the Portland VA Medical Center located at 3710 Southwest US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, OR 97239. Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial dish machines
  • Scrape, soak, scour, and scrub cookware and utensils
  • Sort, stack, and rack trays for washing
  • Remove clean trayware and store sanitized dishes, glasses, and silverware
  • Clean and sanitize pots and pans manually using a three-compartment sink
  • Clean and sterilize kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Perform heavy-duty cleaning
  • Sweep and mop designated areas
  • Separate food waste, trash, recycling, and compost
  • Empty waste containers and transport to designated receptacles
  • Clean delivery carts and food service equipment
  • Retrieve soiled carts from patient units
  • Deliver clean carts to designated hospital units
  • Support overall kitchen and meal service operations
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this job
  • Current Food Handler Certificate from:
    • ServSafe, or
    • ANAB-accredited / ANSI-approved program
  • Subject to a background/suitability investigation
  • Employment reference checks
  • Completed physical examination prior to starting
  • A complete application package
  • Selected applications will be required to complete an online onboarding process
Position Pays: $17.92 - $23.01/hr
All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
