Job description

Support a Healthier Workforce as an Employee Wellness Nurse

The Employee Wellness Nurse plays an important role in supporting Compass Health Network's Better & Better culture by providing health screenings, education, and wellness resources to team members across the organization. This temporary, seasonal position travels regionally to locations throughout our service area to help employees better understand and manage their health through preventive screenings, vaccinations, and personalized health education.
This is a temporary position supporting our annual employee health fair season from September through October. Travel required, two-four days weekly.  Scheduled shifts are day shift, Monday - Friday only. Application, background screening, and orientation are required  for employment in this position.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys health promotion, employee wellness, and building positive connections while making a meaningful impact on the well-being of others.
  • Conduct health screenings, including cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, weight, and body composition assessments
  • Administer influenza vaccinations
  • Provide health education and guidance based on screening results
  • Promote wellness and encourage healthy lifestyle choices among team members
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Travel to Compass Health Network locations throughout the health fair season
  • Create a welcoming, positive, and supportive wellness experience for participants
  • High School/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least one (1) year of nursing experience required
  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
  • Must possess and maintain a current, active Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or must possess and maintain a current, active Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license
