We are currently seeking for a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to serve as part of our growing home health care team.

In this role, you will work with our clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide compassionate care and assistance and document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing.

If you have the following requirements and qualifications, we want you!

Salary: $13 per hour

Shift: Thursday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm

Qualifications
  • Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of one (1) year of full-time professional experience in a healthcare setting required; three (3) to five (5) years preferred

  • Previous experience in a home health care environment strongly preferred

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and conversational abilities

  • Completion of at least eight (8) hours of personal care-related training annually

  • Willingness to attend professional meetings and training sessions as directed

  • Ability to work under supervision and demonstrate competency in providing quality client care

  • Experience in housekeeping, domestic work, or related services is a plus

  • Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist clients with mobility needs

  • Patience and the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations

  • Willingness to assist with both personal care and household tasks as requested by the client

  • Dependable, punctual, and reliable

  • Warm, compassionate, and client-focused attitude

  • Commitment to treating all clients with dignity, respect, and professionalism

  • Ability and willingness to comply with all agency policies, legal requirements, and healthcare regulations

  • Current PCA (Personal Care Assistant) Certification

  • Current CPR Certification Card

  • Current TB Test Results

  • Vaccination Record/Card

  • Existing Fingerprint-Based Background Check (preferred or required, as applicable)

CLIENT NEEDS:

1Personal Care Assist client with washing and hygiene. Change her clothing and/or incontinence products as needed. Ensure she is clean, comfortable, and repositioned properly in bed. 2Mobility Assistance Use the Hoyer lift to safely transfer client from the bed when needed. Assist her into a seated position for lunch. After the meal, assist her back into bed and ensure she is properly pulled up and positioned comfortably. 3Feeding Feeding assistance is not required. However, ensure her meal is within reach and that she is safely positioned while eating. 4Housekeeping Empty the trash as needed. Fold the laundry. Keep the bathroom clean and tidy. Maintain general cleanliness of the house. Vacuum the floors regularly. Additional Notes Ensure client is always positioned comfortably and safely after transfers. Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times.
