HS Head Track Coach - Bryan High School
Bryan High School is seeking a Head Track & Field Coach for the high school varsity program. This position will be involved in helping develop student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally while maintaining compliance with ODE, OHSAA, NFHS, and district guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Plan, organize, and conduct all daily practices, event training sessions, and track meets.
  • Instruction: Teach track and field fundamentals, specialized event strategies (sprints, distance, throws, jumps), and proper sportsmanship.
  • Supervision: Oversee student-athletes at all practices, meets, transportation, and team events.
  • Team Operations: Manage meet entries, roster development, event assignments, and coordinate with assistant coaches.
  • Student Growth: Promote academic eligibility, positive behavior, and a strong culture of peer leadership.
  • Inventory & Safety: Maintain track equipment, oversee facility setup, and ensure a safe training environment for all events.

Compliance & Safety
  • Follow all ODE, OHSAA, NFHS, and district policies.
  • Maintain required certifications (Pupil Activity Permit, NFHS courses, CPR/First Aid/AED).
  • Adhere to all safety and supervision requirements, including severe weather and lightning protocols.
