This position is designed to improve regional student performance and requires effective interaction with ESC and school district personnel. The Clerk, Head Start Administration/Receptionist, is responsible for responding to telephone inquiries, routing calls, and relaying messages to Head Start site and administrative staff. This individual also assists visitors in the reception area and directs them to events taking place in the conference center. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting with the timely completion of all clerical tasks assigned by the Assistant Director. The ability to organize, coordinate, and manage assigned tasks is essential to this role.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of experience in the clerical or secretarial field
  • Experience using a multi-line telephone system
  • Proficiency with MS Office platforms
  • Skilled in:
    • Typing
    • Word processing
    • Filing
    • Record maintenance
    • Transcription of correspondence
    • Other clerical tasks
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director
