Job Summary:
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence. They are seeking an experienced Engineering Knowledge Manager to join their national intelligence program in Northern Virginia, focusing on the delivery and sustainment of engineering and knowledge management services to support global missions.
Responsibilities:
• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing through defining, supporting and encouraging the use of knowledge to clients and program personnel of all skills and levels.
• Ensure that knowledge technologies are maintained current and functional, per requirements.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of specific products or families of knowledge management applications, products, and associated applications interface technologies.
• Utilize technical area competencies to assess the operational and/or technical baseline of an organization as specifically associated with its functional components.
• Utilize technical area competencies with knowledge management products and tools such as Portal Technologies, Database Technologies, Operating Systems, and Programming Languages.
• Work with information technology professionals to provide insight and advice to senior managers and executives, concerning the strategic direction and applicability of knowledge management techniques and products.
• Perform in lead role in contributing to the development of standards and best practices surrounding the use of knowledge management techniques and applications.
• Provide technical insight into the determination of technical inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet program knowledge management goals.
• Generate technical strategies for enhanced knowledge management operations, as well as ways to improve productivity across functional areas across the program.
• Participate in technical assessments and reviews to validate the technical approach and associated work products, for knowledge management implementations.
• Provide guidance and direction to other professionals, acts in a consulting and/or advisory capacity; coordinates resolution of highly complex problems and tasks, possesses ability to meet and operate under deadlines.
• Provide relevant coaching, training and support to the program stakeholders in the utilization of program knowledge management.
• Conduct activities related to the knowledge management processes, include but are not limited to: Content analysis, document management, data capture, portals, work-flow, collaboration, data warehousing, decision support, information dissemination.
• Planning to encompass the strategy, architecture and methodology for an enterprise modernization effort.
• Selection, implementation and measure of packaged solutions for enterprise modernization.
• Complete integration of applications with target data and defined processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Poly.
• Min 8 years with BS/BA, Min 6 years with MS/MA. 4 years experience may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in knowledge management processes, including but are not limited to: Content analysis, document management, data capture, portals, work-flow, collaboration, data warehousing, decision support, information dissemination.
• Planning to encompass the strategy, architecture and methodology for an enterprise modernization effort.
• Selection, implementation and measure of packaged solutions for enterprise modernization.
• Complete integration of applications with target data and defined processes.
Preferred:
• Current TS SCI w/ Poly.
• Possesses significant experience with knowledge management products and tools such as Portal Technologies, Database Technologies, Operating Systems, and Programming Languages.
• Prior experience and or historical and institutional knowledge of the customer mission, programs and processes.
