Job description

About Clark
Clark is building the trust infrastructure for the AI economy.
We're starting with audit and accounting workflows-high-trust environments where reliability, accuracy, security, and compliance matter as much as product functionality. Our platform helps firms automate complex workflows, deploy AI safely, and build more efficient operations while maintaining the rigor professional services require.
We're building a world-class engineering team focused on reliability, product excellence, and AI-native workflows.
The Role
We are hiring a Head of Infrastructure to stand up Clark's infrastructure, security, and compliance foundation.
This person will own infrastructure as a solo leader initially, partnering closely with engineering leadership as the core product and platform team scales. You will own cloud infrastructure, reliability, security reviews, compliance readiness, deployment systems, and the operational foundation needed to support enterprise customers.
Why This Role Matters
As Clark sells into accounting firms and enterprise environments, infrastructure and security become critical to the GTM motion.
The Head of Infrastructure will own the systems and processes that allow Clark to pass customer security reviews, scale deployments, improve reliability, and support future compliance requirements.
This role directly impacts product velocity, customer trust, and sales execution.
What You'll Do
  • Own Clark's infrastructure architecture and cloud environment
  • Stand up security, compliance, and infrastructure processes
  • Own the customer security-review pipeline
  • Improve deployment, observability, monitoring, and incident response
  • Partner with engineering on reliability and scalability
  • Create infrastructure standards, access controls, and operational best practices
  • Prepare Clark for future compliance frameworks and audits
  • Build the foundation for a future infrastructure/security team
  • Partner with Sales, CS, and Product on customer security questions

Who You Are
  • 6+ years of infrastructure, platform, security, DevOps, or SRE experience
  • Experience owning production infrastructure in a high-growth company
  • Strong cloud infrastructure experience
  • Strong understanding of security, access control, reliability, and compliance
  • Experience supporting enterprise security reviews
  • Able to operate as a hands-on solo owner before building a team
  • Strong communication with engineering, GTM, and customer-facing teams
  • High ownership and operational discipline

Bonus
  • Experience with SOC 2, ISO, or similar compliance frameworks
  • Experience in fintech, compliance, accounting, audit, healthcare, or other regulated industries
  • Experience at an early-stage startup
  • Experience building infrastructure teams
  • Experience supporting AI-native or document-heavy products
