About McAfee Institute

McAfee Institute is a leading professional certification and training organization serving law enforcement, military, intelligence, investigations, corporate security, financial crimes, OSINT, and public safety professionals around the world.

Our mission is to develop leaders capable of solving complex crimes, protecting communities, disrupting threats, and creating meaningful impact in the world.

We are entering a major growth phase and are looking for a high-level Head of Content to help build one of the most trusted and recognized authority brands in the intelligence, investigations, and law enforcement training space.

This is not a traditional content marketing role.

We are looking for a strategic content leader who can turn expertise, stories, investigations, training, leadership, and operational insight into powerful content that educates, inspires, builds trust, and drives growth.

About the Role

The Head of Content will lead the strategy, planning, creation, and execution of McAfee Institute’s content across video, YouTube, email, social media, podcasts, educational media, thought leadership, campaigns, and brand storytelling.

This person will work directly with executive leadership to shape the public voice of McAfee Institute and help turn our expertise into compelling content that reaches law enforcement officers, military professionals, intelligence analysts, investigators, corporate security leaders, and public safety professionals worldwide.

The right person understands that content is not just posting.

Content is positioning.

Content is trust.

Content is authority.

Content is education.

Content is brand-building.

Content is revenue.

We need someone who can think strategically, execute quickly, manage production workflows, identify strong stories, and build a content machine that strengthens the McAfee Institute brand for years to come.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the overall content strategy for McAfee Institute across all major channels, including YouTube, email, website, social media, podcasts, webinars, short-form video, educational campaigns, and promotional media.
  • Create a clear content roadmap aligned with brand growth, audience trust, lead generation, student enrollment, certification awareness, and long‑term authority‑building.
  • Work directly with the CEO, CAO, instructors, subject matter experts, sales, admissions, and marketing teams to identify content opportunities and turn them into high‑performing assets.
  • Build repeatable content systems, calendars, workflows, and production processes that allow the company to consistently produce high‑quality media at scale.
Brand Authority & Thought Leadership

Help position McAfee Institute as one of the most trusted voices in intelligence, investigations, OSINT, financial crimes, law enforcement training, human trafficking investigations, counterintelligence, and related fields.

Transform executive insight, instructor expertise, case studies, student success stories, field experience, and industry trends into compelling content.

Develop content that strengthens trust, credibility, emotional connection, and professional authority with our target audiences.

Ensure all content reflects the seriousness, professionalism, and mission‑driven nature of the industries we serve.

Video, YouTube & Short‑Form Content

Lead the planning and production of high‑authority YouTube videos, educational series, interviews, trailers, reels, shorts, promotional videos, and documentary‑style content.

Develop strong video concepts, hooks, titles, thumbnails, scripts, outlines, captions, and repurposing strategies.

Turn long‑form content into short‑form clips for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and paid advertising.

Support filming, editing, story development, production planning, and post‑production workflows either directly or in partnership with internal/external creators.

Understand what makes video content perform, including attention, pacing, retention, storytelling, audience psychology, and platform‑specific best practices.

Oversee written content across emails, landing pages, social captions, blog posts, newsletters, promotional campaigns, scripts, course‑related content, case studies, and thought leadership pieces.

Create or guide content that supports enrollment campaigns, scholarship promotions, certification launches, military funding campaigns, employer outreach, and authority‑building initiatives.

Ensure messaging is clear, persuasive, mission‑aligned, and audience‑specific.

Maintain a strong editorial standard across all written and visual content.

Content Operations

Manage content calendars, deadlines, production workflows, asset libraries, publishing schedules, and performance tracking.

Create a scalable system for capturing, organizing, editing, repurposing, and distributing content.

Coordinate with team members, contractors, editors, designers, videographers, instructors, and leadership to ensure content is delivered on time and at a high standard.

Build processes that allow McAfee Institute to move fast without sacrificing quality, accuracy, or brand integrity.

Performance & Growth

Track content performance across key metrics such as engagement, views, watch time, retention, leads, conversions, email performance, audience growth, and revenue attribution.

Use data to improve future content decisions while maintaining strong creative instincts.

Identify which content themes, formats, messages, and channels create the most trust, attention, and business impact.

Help connect content efforts to real business outcomes, including brand growth, student acquisition, lead generation, and enrollment.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a true content leader and creative operator.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in content strategy, storytelling, video, writing, brand‑building, and digital media execution.

You should be able to move between big‑picture strategy and hands‑on execution.

You should know how to take a rough idea and turn it into a campaign, video, email, short‑form clip, social post, or full content series.

You should understand how to build trust with serious professional audiences.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to schedule posts or manage a content calendar.

This is for someone who wants to help build a powerful media and education brand with real‑world impact.
