Job description

We are looking for a competent Head of Clinical Operations who will own critical functions across the business, including expansion strategy, new vertical launches, supply chain management, clinical team management, product operations, internal process optimization, and other strategic projects. The ideal hire will be comfortable shifting seamlessly between high-level strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution, wearing many hats each day. They will feel empowered to break down complex problems into actionable and scalable solutions, and have the empathy to understand and align needs across diverse internal and external stakeholders.

As a Head of Clinical Operations, you must possess excellent management and mentoring skills. You must be an outstanding communicator able to resolve conflicts and issues. If you also have a deep respect for policies and ethics and can inspire that in others, you are ideal for the role.

The goal is to ensure the smooth running of the clinical department aiming at maximum performance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute operational perspective to key strategic decisions including geographic expansion, product expansion and more
  • Hire and develop junior operational team members who will assist with execution
  • Use SQL and Excel/Google Sheets to generate key analytical insights on business performance, with suggestions on how we can use those insights to improve
  • Summarize recurring data into easy-to-use dashboards for use by whole team 
  • Partner with the clinical team to implement efficiency recommendations, roll out new products, and launch new markets
  • Manage rollout of PC structure in existing + expansion states
  • Assist with development of insurance billing infrastructure 
  • Assist with launch and maintenance of new partnerships
  • Report directly to Head of Ops
     

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technology, startups, consulting or a similar environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a startup or other resource-constrained, high-growth environment
  • Action-oriented and creative problem-solver who thrives on complexity. Can easily navigate ambiguous situations to come up with concrete and achievable action plans
  • Loves optimizing processes for maximum efficiency and scalability
  • Enthusiasm for execution, with a "do what it takes" attitude
  • Excellent analytical skills with high levels of proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Track record of success scaling teams, projects and processes in new or challenging environments
  • Team player with proven ability to manage cross-functional interests
  • Strong communication skills, structured thinking and a proclivity for extreme ownership
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in people management
