Job description

Position Overview

SyntheticFi is growing at an extraordinary 20%+ MoM over the past year, powered by a product that our target customersโ€”financial advisors (RIAs)โ€”already view as a true differentiator for their practice, helping them retain AUM and win new clients.

With a proven product and strong inbound demand, weโ€™re now at an inflection point. Scaling further requires building a durable, flexible capital layer that can support rapid client onboarding and refinancing activity. We are hiring a Head of Capital Markets to design and execute SyntheticFiโ€™s capital strategy, including structuring and securing credit facilities (e.g., delayed draw / warehouse lines) that power our lending platform. Youโ€™ll work directly with our cofounder and CIO Joseph Wang, to build and scale SyntheticFiโ€™s financing infrastructure to support its rapid growth.

As the Head of Capital Markets, You Will
  • Structure, execute, maintain, and expand SyntheticFiโ€™s core credit facilities, including delayed draw and warehouse lines to support client refinancing.
  • Lead end-to-end debt fundraising processes, including outreach, negotiation, diligence, and closing.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, including family offices, HNW/UHNW individuals, credit funds, and other structured capital providers.
  • Translate SyntheticFiโ€™s product, collateral, and performance data into clear, compelling materials for external capital providers.
  • Support broader fundraising efforts, including preparation of investor materials and data rooms for both debt and equity processes.
What Success Looks Like
  • A scalable, cost-efficient credit facility that supports SyntheticFiโ€™s growth.
  • Efficient and successful execution of capital raises.
  • Strong relationships with high-quality lending partners.
  • Clear, investor-ready data and reporting infrastructure.
  • A capital strategy that compounds and expands as the company grows.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in capital markets, structured finance, private credit, or investment banking (LevFin / structured products).
  • Direct experience in structuring or executing credit facilities, warehouse lines, or asset-backed financing.
  • Experience working with external capital providers, both individuals (UHNW/family office) and institutional lenders (credit funds).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts and operational processes to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to operate independently and drive complex processes end-to-end.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup or building new financial products.
  • Experience in fintech, lending platforms, or asset-backed businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive outreach to lenders and manage financing processes end-to-end.
  • Exposure to both debt and equity fundraising processes.
Compensation

We care about talent, and we show it. SyntheticFi offers a top-tier compensation and benefits package with meaningful upside options.

  • Base Salary: $125,000 - $175,000
  • Bonus: up to 10% of base salary.
  • Stock option compensation: 0.25-1.00%.
About SyntheticFi

SyntheticFi was founded by Tony and Joseph after recognizing a critical gap in the market: affordable borrowing options for advisors and their clients. Drawing on deep expertise in both finance and technology, we built the first viable securities-backed line of credit product powered by box spreads, an institutional borrowing strategy now made accessible at scale. Since launch, SyntheticFi has grown at an extraordinary pace, sustaining 20%+ MoM growth, and is the category-defining leader in wealthtech. SyntheticFi is a YC company with a recent round from partner RIAs and wealthโ€‘tech VCs (Ritholtz, Social Leverage, NextGenVP / Brown Advisory).
