  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for Apollo's accounting advisory firms, including Big Four and select mid-tier providers, overseeing strategic relationships, performance management, and executive engagement across the firm.
  • Lead enterprise-wide commercial negotiations, including rate card development, fee structure optimization, engagement economics, and vendor governance initiatives designed to improve transparency and drive value.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks for the review, approval, and oversight of external advisory engagements, ensuring consistency, accountability, and appropriate escalation across business units.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Private Equity, Credit, Athene, and Enterprise Solutions to assess advisory needs, evaluate provider selection, and optimize engagement structures.
  • Develop and maintain firmwide reporting and analytics related to advisory firm utilization, spend, engagement activity, pipeline management, and performance measurement.
  • Produce executive-level dashboards, presentations, and strategic analyses that provide leadership with transparency into advisory activity, spending trends, and optimization opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives to create competitive sourcing processes, improve commercial outcomes, and challenge historical engagement practices through data-driven analysis and market benchmarking.
  • Drive strategic cost management initiatives, including fee structure redesign, insourcing assessments, vendor rationalization, and process improvements that enhance enterprise value.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, artificial intelligence, and enhanced data management capabilities to improve reporting, governance, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage and develop team members supporting the function while building scalable processes and infrastructure to support future growth of the advisory management platform.
  • Evaluate opportunities to expand the framework beyond accounting firms to broader consulting and professional services providers across the Apollo ecosystem.

Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree and/or professional certification preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in professional services, finance, consulting, procurement, advisory relationship management, accounting advisory, corporate strategy, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing enterprise-level vendor or advisory firm relationships.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • Experience building governance frameworks, operating models, reporting processes, and performance management programs across large organizations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and collaborate effectively across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership audiences.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
