The Head of Investor Relations (IR) is responsible for creating the Company’s IR strategy, framework, tactics, and communication materials to effectively articulate the Company’s vision and strategy and investment thesis. This position will serve as the primary liaison between the Company and the financial community. The Head of IR will develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders. The role partners closely with the executive leadership, finance, legal, commercial, R&D and communications teams to ensure consistent, transparent, and effective messaging.

Job Description Responsibilities
  • Leads investor relations strategic initiatives and activities to ensure alignment and understanding of the company’s strategic messages and enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Serves as a trusted spokesperson and point of contact for investors, analysts, and the financial community.
  • Leads strategic development of key messages, Q&A, publications, presentations, and electronic media (i.e. IR website) used in the IR program. Performs the data collection, analysis, writing, editing, and production of those materials in collaboration with Leadership and other functions.
  • Monitors investor sentiment, shareholder composition, and market trends to advise senior leadership and the Board.
  • Leads and manages ongoing and productive dialogue with analysts and investors (traditional & CR&S) to promote a better understanding of the company’s value proposition, financial goals and growth strategies. This includes investor outreach, targeting, and relationship management, including IR conferences and roadshows, investor tours, and meetings/conference calls.
  • Provides management an understanding of external perspectives on the company as well as ownership information and buying/selling trends. This includes but is not limited to active monitoring of security analysts’ research and earnings estimates, consensus models, relative stock price movements, and periodic ownership analysis and supports the monitoring of trading data.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Communications, ESG, and Strategy teams to integrate company narrative into investor messaging.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of quarterly earnings announcements, investor calls, and financial reporting materials.
  • Oversees the creation of investor presentations, press releases, and other communication tools to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Partners with Finance and Legal to ensure all external communications meet regulatory and disclosure requirements.
  • Provides insights to leadership on market perception, competitive landscape, and valuation drivers.
  • Participates in crisis communication preparedness initiatives, including data collection and analysis, drafting, editing, and support.
  • Provides leadership and coaching to maintain a “best-in-class” function.
  • Leads by example in areas of change management and is able to think creatively about talent development and organizational structure.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, corporate finance, investment banking, or equity research within a public company.
  • Prior pharmaceutical/biotech experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and capital markets dynamics with additional experience in corporate or brand communications, marketing, or planning/development preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience.
Knowledge
  • A solid understanding of finance, strategic communication, and trends, public relations, marketing, advertising, and the media.
Skills and Abilities
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, exceptional writing, analytical, presentation preparation, and project management skills.
  • Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability.
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen.
  • An in-depth understanding of the financial and investment markets and the ability to adapt quickly to changes.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an outstanding ability to communicate using these qualities and skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Travel and working across time-zones required.

The expected base pay range for this position is $330K - $430K. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable program. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion.
