Our client, a leading importer of womens apparel, is looking for a talented Technical Designer to join their team! This person will be responsible for the creation and development of seasonal collections for their private label brand. This role involves translating creative concepts into commercially viable designs while maintaining brand identity and market relevance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, trend-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and update collection boards
  • Develop and execute design sketches
  • Update and modify sketches/CADs as needed
  • Manage and document all aspects of sample development within the system
  • Participate in fittings alongside the Fit team
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends and emerging styles
  • Assist in preparing for style-outs and design meetings
  • Support the Head Designer with organization and coordination
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while effectively prioritizing deadlines
Requirements:
  • College diploma in Fashion Design
  • Minimum of 5 years of related industry experience
  • Strong ability to collaborate across departments; team-oriented and dynamic
  • Excellent organizational skills; highly methodical and detail-oriented
