Our client, a growing menswear manufacturer, is looking for a talented, energetic and motivated Assistant Designer to join their team! This person will be working closely with the design team.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
 
  • Create detailed technical sketches and tech packs for manufacturers
  • Communicate instructions to factories/suppliers
  • Cut and prepare swatch cards
  • Follow up with factories/suppliers ensuring timely delivery of prototypes
  • Support fittings, sample development, and quality control
  • Check prototypes for measurements, quality of workmanship and design details
  • Assist sales team in preparing for presentations
 
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of English, written and spoken
  • 1-2 years of experience in apparel design (menswear experience is a plus!)
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and tech pack creation
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Keen eye for detail, color, and fabric selection
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Excellent sense of organization
