Job description

Vacancies exists for 6-hour Bus Drivers.  The hours are:
  • A.M. Run 6:15 am to 9:15 am
  • P.M. Run 1:45 pm to 4:45 pm 
Benefits:

  • Drivers can participate in the New York State Employees' Retirement System
Responsibilities include:
  • Operating a school bus on regularly scheduled trips to and from school.  Transporting passengers on field trips and athletic events.
  • Maintaining order and ensuring safety of the students (teachers and chaperones if applicable) while the bus is in operation.
  • Completing daily pre and post trip shift vehicle inspection reports.
  • Adhering to all NYS Motor Vehicle laws under NYS Article 19A requirements.
  • Communicating and receiving direction from the Dispatcher, Head Bus Driver and/or Supervisor.
Candidates must have:
  • A clean driving record
  • A Class B license with a PS endorsement
  • Two years prior experience driving a big bus
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • 30-hour School Bus Driver Training Certificate
