Job description

Fat Daddy's Bar & Grill in Alexandria, MN is looking for one restaurant bar manager to join our strong team. We are located on 115 30th Ave E. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable. We want to create and maintain a fun, clean, efficient environment not only for our staff but our customers as well; with promoting an inviting atmosphere for customers to enjoy themselves, relax and have fun.

Responsibilities

·       Create and maintain a high level of quality customer service.

·       Being a leader and lead by example.

·       Interact with customers as much as possible. Be seen for employees and customers.

·       Help enforce employee code of conduct and employee policies from handbook especially the dress code.

·       Keep lines of communication wide open with fellow managers and ownership. Communicate with the head bartender and head server to go over any issues or changes that may need to be made.

·       Handle upset customers or customer complaints when necessary.

·       Bar and Restaurant promotions along with staff promotions

·       Attend weekly manager meetings to discuss upcoming events, problems, staff and other business-related items. Attendance is mandatory! (Currently Monday’s 1pm)

·       Conduct Fat Daddy employee meetings on a regular basis.

·       Update staff prior to shift with information on what’s happening in the building, for example, new specials, busier day, special events.

·       Communicate with head bartender and head server to keep them up to speed with any changes or issues happening.

·       Learn and keep the POS system up to date with different items and pricing.

·       Hiring process-going through applications, conducting interviews along with HR for potential bartenders and servers.

·       Assist with HR for firing employees who need to be let go.

·       Help keep employees performing duties properly.

·       Help wherever needed when busy; bartending, serving, expo and working a shift as server or bartender occasionally.

  • Must be able to work in a fun fast paced work environment.
  • Must be able to handle high stressful situations with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Must have a background in restaurant or bar experience.
