Job Summary and Qualifications

The Associate Privileged Access Management (PAM) Engineer will help assist in implementation and support of privileged access management solutions to ensure the security of sensitive information and systems. This role requires a basic understanding of PAM technologies and cybersecurity best practices. The Associate PAM Engineer will work with other members of the team, including senior engineers and architects, to integrate PAM solutions seamlessly with existing systems and applications. 

Additional responsibilities include incident and service request management to ensure operational effectiveness and stability of our PAM solutions. The Associate PAM Engineer will also assist senior engineers and architects in documenting, communicating, and implementing PAM related initiatives throughout the organization. A successful candidate will exhibit a high degree of self-motivation to provide support for PAM tools and continuously grow their knowledge and experience with PAM technology and processes. 

Major Responsibilities

Implementation: 

  • Assist with deployment and configuration of PAM solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure, processes, and applications. 
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of PAM tools and processes. 
Maintenance and Support: 
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for PAM solutions, including troubleshooting technical issues. 
Risk Assessment: 
  • Participate in comprehensive risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities related to privileged access. 
  • Contribute to detailed reports and presentations on risk assessment findings and recommendations. 
Training: 
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to that enhance the teams' understanding and capabilities in PAM. 
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in cybersecurity and PAM technologies. 
Documentation: 
  • Contribute to documentation for PAM solutions, including configuration guides, user manuals, and operational procedures. 
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to teams. 
Collaboration: 
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to aid in addressing complex security challenges and develop integrated solutions. 
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in cybersecurity and PAM technologies.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in Identity and Access or System Engineering

Licenses,Certifications and Training:

  • PAM-specific Certifications 
  • CISSP 
  • Microsoft security-related certifications 
  • CISM 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors

  • Privileged Access: Advanced knowledge and understanding of privilege access management concepts, principles, and practices including those for on-prem and cloud environments (e.g., Entra ID PIM, etc.).Preferred
  • Privileged Access Solutions: Experience configuring and managing PAM solutions, such as password vaults, session recording, and access control systems; automation via PowerShell, APIs, or other scripting languages. Preferred 
  • Cybersecurity: Understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management Preferred 
  • Identity & Access Management concepts: Understanding of IAM concepts such as: user lifecycle management; access control standards and best practices; provisioning / de-provisioning; secrets management; access management; multi-factor authentication; single sign-on. Required 
  • DevOps: Knowledge of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD pipelines focused on security automation Preferred
