Job description

Summary Description: Adjunct Instructor of Business which includes Health Care Administration-HCA, Human Resource Management-HRM, Finance, Accounting, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, and Entrepreneurship and reports to the Dean of Business Division. This position is responsible for teaching courses in the Health Care Administration-HCA, Human Resources Management-HRM, Finance, Accounting, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship majors, which provides a substantial business emphasis.
Essential Functions:
  • Teach assigned courses, focusing primarily in the Health Care Administration-HCA, Human Resources Management-HRM, Finance, Accounting, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship majors.
  • Articulate and model current best practices in teaching.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Engage in scholarly activity in the relevant field.
  • Collaborate with articulated programs.
  • Participate in ongoing program development and evaluation.
  • Understand and promote the mission, values, and core themes of Warner Pacific University.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills in all interactions with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Support and contribute to the implementation of the strategic plan of the college.
  • Continue professional growth, including participation in the professional development opportunities provided by the institution.
  • Adhere to university policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education by upholding the mission of the college and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters of Science in Health Care Administration-HCA, Human Resources Management-HRM, Finance, Accounting, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or a related area.
  • College teaching experience in relevant curriculum.
  • A successful professional record in business settings.
  • Strong knowledge of current practices in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional experience in the field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.

The position is located in a typical office environment.  Professional/business casual attire is required.
