Job description

Agency :
Havas Edge
Job Description :
The EPN Global New Business Director is a senior, network-level growth leader responsible for accelerating new client acquisition across the Edge Performance Network. This role exists to systematically expand EPN's global client roster by identifying and engaging high-potential performance-driven marketers, ensuring EPN is consistently represented in competitive pitches, and translating our capabilities into compelling commercial narratives.
Operating across the EPN network, this role connects strategy, prospect engagement, pitch orchestration and business development thought leadership to help EPN win multi-market performance marketing engagements. The Global New Business Director understands how modern performance marketing drives business outcomes, and how to translate full performance capabilities into compelling client value. Importantly, the role requires a "hunter" mindset, with a material part of the job being proactive potential client identification and engagement.
This is a strategic new business leadership position focused on building opportunity, shaping demand, and converting EPN's performance expertise into scalable growth.
Role Description
Reporting to the global leadership, the EPN Global New Business Director will partner closely with EPN leadership, strategy, and local market teams to build a coordinated, proactive new business engine.
You will proactively identify global and regional prospects, cultivate relationships with new business consultants, manage RFI/RFP processes, represent EPN in Havas network (Converged) new business efforts, and develop network-level credentials and category storytelling.
You will also help with elevating EPN's external profile through business development-oriented thought leadership, category insights and client-specific narratives, ensuring EPN is seen as a modern performance partner delivering measurable growth via integrated performance campaigns.
The role works with the Edge Performance Network Strategy team and all network entities: Havas Edge (US), All Response Media (EMEA), Havas Edge France, and Frontier Australia (APJ).
The EPN New Business Director will deliver impact with six key contributions:
1. Global Opportunity Identification
Proactively surface and qualify new client opportunities, with a focus on advertisers seeking accountable, outcome-driven performance marketing across multiple markets.
2. Consultant Relationship Development
Build trusted relationships with new business consultants to ensure EPN is consistently invited into relevant RFI and RFP processes.
3. Pitch Leadership & Orchestration
Coordinate EPN level RFI and RFP responses, aligning local market expertise, strategy and capabilities into unified, high-impact submissions. This includes submissions where EPN plays a role with the broader Havas network, in delivery of our group level Converged strategy.
4. Network Credentials & Capability Storytelling
Help develop and maintain EPN-level credentials, capability documentation and case studies in collaboration with the global strategy team, ensuring EPN's proposition is always pitch-ready.
5. Category & Client-Specific Narratives
Create tailored presentations and sales materials (in collaboration with EPN Strategy and hub teams) that translate EPN's capabilities into relevant solutions for specific categories and client growth challenges.
6. Thought Leadership for Growth
Contribute to EPN thought leadership - supporting articles, insights and POVs that build credibility, stimulate demand and open new business conversations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The day-to-day would typically include:
  • Identifying, prioritizing new client targets, particularly global and multi-market advertisers using performance marketing as a growth engine.
  • Initiating contact and building relationships with these targets.
  • Building and managing relationships with new business consultants.
  • Connecting with New Business teams from other Havas entities, to appropriately position EPN.
  • Leading coordination of RFI and RFP responses across EPN entities.
  • Partnering with EPN strategy to develop credentials, case studies and capability decks.
  • Generating category-specific and client-specific new business presentations.
  • Coordinating outbound outreach to priority prospects alongside local leadership.
  • Maintaining visibility and governance of all new business activity across the network.
  • Supporting development of thought leadership content for growth purposes.

Ideal Professional Background
The ideal candidate will typically bring:
  • 10+ years in performance marketing or media agencies, with direct exposure to new business development.
  • Proven experience supporting or leading RFI/RFP processes, including multi-market or global pitches.
  • A strong understanding of performance-driven growth models, including audience-based planning, measurable media, and outcome-focused activation.
  • Background in:
    • Performance or integrated media agencies
    • Management consulting or marketing advisory firms
  • Demonstrated success working across multiple regions or operating companies.

Experience with Integrated Media (Linear TV, CTV, Digital, Programmatic), and Data Science driven marketing ecosystems is highly valued.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 12-18 months, a high-performing Global New business Director will have:
  • Identified, engaged and converted new EPN clients.
  • Established EPN as a regular contender in global and regional RFPs.
  • Built strong relationships with key new business consultants, and new business teams in other Havas entities.
  • Implemented clear EPN network-level credentials and pitch processes.
  • Developed category narratives that open doors with priority advertisers.
  • Elevated visibility and coordination across all new business activity.
  • Contributed to thought leadership that supports inbound demand.
  • Have helped position EPN as a cohesive global performance growth platform in the eyes of the market.

The Role Is Not
This role is not expected to:
  • Own or manage existing client accounts or day-to-day client delivery.
  • Operate independently. Integrated efforts with Global EPN and hub teams will elevate our chance of success.
  • Replace local market business development teams. Instead, this role enables and amplifies them.

In Summary
The Global New Business Director will shape opportunity, elevate our story, and orchestrate new business pursuits. You will turn EPN's performance capabilities into commercial momentum, helping brands unlock scalable, measurable growth while positioning the Edge Performance Network as the partner of choice for modern performance marketing.
