Amazon Robotics is seeking a technical specialist in development of hardware applications and operational management. The Technical Program Manager (TPM) role will be part of the HW Engineering team focused on full lifecycle development from early transition to production through End of Life. This position is accountable for the planning and execution of hardware development projects within larger programs while serving as the hardware technical management specialist and coordination lead between Amazon Robotics System teams, Deployment Engineering, Supply Chain, Global Support Services, and our fulfillment and logistics customers.
Key areas of ownership include robot application development, hardware and sw build, test and deployment. This is a highly crossfunctional role with exciting integration ownership and partnership with perception, solutions, and workcell teams. The TPM will partner with internal teams and external vendors to establish proper documentation packages, testing protocols, and process standards while ensuring on time delivery. This role will coordinate with deployment teams and drive total system deployment and continuous improvements of robotic systems for scaling in the field. Additional responsibilities include application design and release tracking, Test Engineering, Regulatory Compliance and Functional Safety partnership, schedule alignment and driving execution. Coordination will include schedule alignment and execution with operations, production, manufacturing test, field and quality teams. This role will own costing roadmap development, and serve as the main interface with Supply Chain and Purchasing organizations.

Key job responsibilities
Application Development and Integration
-Own application development and integration with perception, solutions, and workcell teams
-Drive application design and release tracking across the product lifecycle
-Development of Functional Requirement Documents for programs based on Product Requirements
Vendor Management
-Partner with vendors on documentation packages, testing, and process development
-Ensure on time delivery and quality standards are met
Deployment and Field Operations
-Partner with deployment teams on total system deployment
-Lead improvements of robotic systems for scaling in the field
-Design and release support tools for operations, manufacturing, test and field teams
Program Execution
-Execute Test Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, and Functional Safety planning and delivery
-Manage production and build planning activities
-Develop and maintain costing roadmaps
-Serve as main interface with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams
-Lead the effective, efficient, and unified delivery of cross functional projects
-Develop and drive hardware program schedules that meet the larger Program Management Office requirements
Cross Functional Leadership
-Interact with Systems & SW Engineering, Operations, and other key stakeholders to define and deliver complex programs
-Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results
-Drive effective teamwork, communication, partnership and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
-Drive programs across all HW disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Safety, Regulatory, HW Test Engineering
-Drive hardware program needs across other AR teams including supply chain, technical OPS and manufacturing
Risk and Project Management
-Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
-Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
