Hammer & Steel seeks to hire a Certified Welder/Fabricator to join our team in St. Louis, MO .
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble steel structures and equipment through use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.
  • Weld new parts and / or make welding repairs on previously manufactured parts and rental equipment.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, Stick welding.
  • Produce specific components for welding according to project specifications.
  • Read prints and work with engineering to produce fabricated parts
  • Weld components in horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
  • Travel within assigned region, as needed, to customer job sites to perform work.
  • Mentor and train newly hired welders joining Hammer & Steel.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older; Valid driver's license with clean MVR
  • Three (3) or more years of relevant welding experience; MIG, TIG and Stick
  • Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen

Preferred Requirements:
  • Vocational/Technical degree
  • Five (5+) years' experience heavy structural welding
  • Moderate Metallurgy knowledge
