Event Supervisor (Hourly)


The Event Supervisor is responsible for overseeing private and large-scale events at The Attic at Waterman’s, Festival on 8th, The Shack, and select off-site venues. This role serves as the on-site lead during events, ensuring smooth execution from setup through breakdown.


This is an hourly position that is primarily evenings and weekends, scheduled based on event needs with occasional reset days.


Primary Responsibilities

Event Execution & Client Experience

  • Manage on-site and off-site events including rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate dinners, retirement parties, birthday parties, and private celebrations.
  • Serve as the on-site lead during events, overseeing all operational details from setup through breakdown.
  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with banquet staff prior to each event and supervise staff throughout service.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and hosts during events, ensuring requests are met and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen regarding menus, sauces, condiments, allergies, and timing of food delivery.
  • Ensure event spaces are set according to BEO specifications, including tables, chairs, buffets, décor, and equipment.
  • Select appropriate platters, serving pieces, and equipment for upcoming events.


Venue Operations & Standards

  • Properly open and close venues before and after events, including HVAC, sound systems, lighting, and room security.
  • Maintain venues in a clean, organized, and event-ready condition following each event.
  • Ensure proper post-event procedures are completed, including:
  • Removal of food from hot boxes and refrigerators
  • Linen remova
  • Trash disposal
  • Organization of storage rooms and shelves
  • Assist with event breakdowns and room resets, including handling tables, chairs, buffets, and equipment.
  • Monitor linen inventory and maintain a running list of supplies and repairs needed at each venue.


Staff Oversight

  • Supervise banquet staff during events and provide ongoing coaching and direction as needed.
  • Evaluate bartender and server side work to ensure service standards are met.
  • Distribute tips accurately and reconcile bar drawers following events.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to company policies, service standards, and safety procedures.


Event Reporting & Administration

  • Complete post-event evaluations, including staff hours, gratuities, bar bills, notable event details, and client feedback.
  • Attend final client meetings for weddings and major events as requested.
  • Coordinate special-order food pickups from off-site locations when required.
