Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current LPN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Current CPR certification
  • One year of experience in medical/surgical, long-term care, or Assisted Living preferred
  • Experience working with older adults preferred

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to residents
  • Assist with resident assessments and report any changes in condition
  • Communicate with physicians to update care plans when needed
  • Administer medications and treatments and document all care
  • Help coordinate pharmacy services for residents
  • Supervise nursing staff when serving as Charge Nurse
  • Monitor residents and ensure proper documentation is completed
  • Conduct rounds to ensure care and policies are being followed
  • Respond to emergency situations and document appropriately
