Job description

HackerRank helps companies like NVIDIA, Amazon, and Microsoft hire and upskill the next generation of developers based on skills, not pedigree. Our platform is trusted by over 2,500 of the world's most innovative companies to build strong engineering teams ready for what's next.
Software has entered an era where humans and AI build side by side. As this shift accelerates, the definition of strong technical talent is changing. We give companies better ways to identify and invest in next-generation skills.
People at HackerRank care deeply about the impact of their work and sweat the small details so our customers can be wildly successful with products they genuinely love to use. We move with urgency and believe great outcomes come from high standards.
About the team
At HackerRank, we're proud to have a high-performing, mission-driven team that truly, madly, deeply cares about their work. Our goal in People Operations (or POps, as we like to call it!) is simple: to empower every HackerRanker to reach their highest potential-both individually and collectively.
We are committed to creating an environment where people have the tools, resources, and support they need to do their best work.
About the role
As the Senior Manager, People Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting the growth of HackerRank's global Go-To-Market (GTM) team. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure the team has the right talent in the right roles. By focusing on key areas such as talent density, employee development, compensation, and organizational design, you'll directly impact leadership development and individual career growth.
This role is based in the US and will also oversee the AMER HR Generalist, including managing benefits and compliance. We're looking for someone who is both nimble and detail-oriented-a leader who can roll up their sleeves when needed and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
  • Serve as a key member of the GTM leadership team, offering strategic guidance on people-related initiatives and execution.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, and leadership development to support the business's high growth.
  • Lead company-wide talent programs within GTM, including talent calibrations and compensation reviews.
  • Address complex employee relations issues with discretion, providing coaching and gathering feedback.
  • Partner closely with other PBPs, HR Generalists, the Talent Acquisition team, and colleagues across the People team to design and implement effective, people-focused solutions.
  • While focused on the Global GTM team, this role may also provide counsel and support to other teams as needed.
  • Oversee benefits and compliance for the AMER region.
What you bring
  • 8+ years of experience in HR business partnering, including at least 2 years of managing a small team.
  • Deep expertise in managing AMER benefits and HR compliance.
  • Proven experience as a People Business Partner, supporting executive leaders, senior and entry-level managers, as well as individual contributors.
  • Bonus: Experience partnering with GTM or customer-facing teams in a high-growth, global organization is highly preferred.
  • Bonus: Experience supporting AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions in a remote setup.

Current base salary range: The base salary range for this role is ($165,000 - $180,000), plus a target (15%) annual bonus tied to individual and company performance. You will also receive equity stock options and a comprehensive package of cash and non-cash benefits.
