Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Shop Hand for our client. This job is responsible for performing shop support duties including deburring, painting, material handling, assembly, product inspection, shop cleanup, and flatbed delivery while safely operating forklifts, cranes, grinders, spray guns, and other shop equipment.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Remove burrs using grinders, wipe down, and mask precision-tooled surfaces.
  • Safely position and move heavy parts using a forklift, overhead crane, and racks.
  • Thin paints to spec and apply high-quality finishes using a spray gun.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe painting area and maintain tools.
  • Flatbed Driving & Delivery (No CDL Required)
  • Use a forklift or crane to load finished products onto our 20-foot flatbed truck. Safely secure loads using tie-downs, straps, and tarps to ensure safe transit.
  • Delivery: Drive and deliver products safely. Must pass a DOT physical (including drug screen) and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Assembly & Shop Support
  • Work with your hands to assemble products according to specs.
  • Perform part inspections to ensure high quality before shipping.
  • Pitch in with deburring, shop cleanup, and maintaining a safe workspace.
 
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • Mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and takes pride in a job well done.
  • Comfortable using a grinder, spray gun, pneumatic tools, and basic hand tools.
  • Experience safely moving and positioning heavy materials (forklift/crane experience is a plus, but we will train the right motivated individual).
  • Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license.
  • Ability to stand, lift, and move around a shop environment for full shifts.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
  • Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Communication skills.
