Job Description

The Assembly Technician fabricates and assembles composite building components used as infrastructure in data centers, generator farms, and other industrial environments. This role focuses on precise assembly of rails, stairs, and treads, using hand and power tools, measurement instruments, and blueprint specifications to produce high-quality custom components in a modern, organized facility. Welcoming applicants from both construction and manufacturing backgrounds!!

Responsibilities

  • Assemble rails, stairs, and treads for walkways according to detailed specifications.
  • Use clips, bolts, nuts, brackets, and other hardware to securely fasten components.
  • Measure and align parts accurately using a tape measure, ruler, and speed square.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine build specifications, dimensions, and assembly sequence.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently during assembly tasks.
  • Use electric and air-powered tools to cut, drill, fasten, and finish components.
  • Operate miter saws and band saws to cut materials to precise lengths and angles.
  • Enter lengths and dimensions into computer-controlled tools for automated measuring and cutting.
  • Apply glue and adhesives to bond parts where required and ensure proper curing.
  • Support CNC cutting operations by preparing materials, monitoring processes, and assisting with setup.
  • Train over time on additional CNC operation tasks to expand capabilities and responsibilities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are used and stored properly.
  • Stand and move throughout the production area for the duration of the shift to complete assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient use of tape measures and rulers for accurate measurement and layout.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and build specifications.
  • Hands-on experience using common hand tools in an assembly or fabrication setting.
  • Experience using power tools, including electric and air-powered tools.

You regularly use hand tools, power tools, miter saws, band saws, and computer-assisted measuring systems, and you support CNC cutting operations within a modern fabrication setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.25 - $24.25/hr.
