As a Senior Process Engineer,  you will be responsible for all aspects of product scale-up and commercialization activities and supports operations by identifying and implementing process improvements to improve product quality, reduce operating costs, and increase production capacity. As an integral part of continuous improvement efforts, provides leadership, guidance and training to improve efficiencies in operations. This role will manage Jr engineer/s and technicians. Explores relevant enabling technologies, with a focus on driving cost savings. Provides functional technical support to R&D, Quality and other functional areas.

  • Work with R&D department on successful commercialization of the new products
  • Creates, updates, and enforces SOPs and JIs, as required. Maintain effective material loss and determine optimal process operating parameters
  • Subject matter expert in capsule, tablets and help the production team with consistent product quality improvement and troubleshooting
  • Provide guidelines in process improvement and continuously optimize the process
  • Trains operators, leads, supervisors and Jr Engineers on new equipment, JIs, and SOPs.
  • Conducts & leads production trouble-shooting, identifies and implements viable solutions.
  • Identifies and delivers advancements in continuous product/process improvements.
  • Continuously explores, identifies and develop innovative proprietary solutions and cost savings.
  • Lead or assist in CAPA or DOE activities.
  • Review formulations, MBR, Batch records, protocols, change controls and other process instructions to confirm capability and capacity.
  • Generate Process Qualifications Protocols (PQs) and perform Process Qualifications.
  • Work closely with R&D and Engineering on equipment selection process.
  • Responsible for organizing process validation or process review
  • Maintains accurate records of all projects and assignments.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
  • Perform other job duties, as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, food engineering or related field from an accredited college/university; plus
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in the Capsules and Tablet industry  
  • Previous experience of managing the team
  • Project management and lean production skills
