Job description

Summary:
The Guest Relations Assistant Manager oversees the daily operations of the Guest Relations Department, ensuring quality service, operational consistency, and staff support. As second-in-command, this role assists with administrative duties while leading, training, coaching, and supervising team members, facilitating guest interactions, conducting pre-shift meetings, and supporting employee engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct the Guest Relations Department, ensuring efficient and superior service to guests based on Company Standards
  • Collaborate with the Resident Manager to manage third-party vendors on the property
  • Direct and administer phone operations, ensuring seamless communication with guests
  • Communicate guest issues to other departments, facilitating timely resolution and guest satisfaction
  • Handle all employee relations, including hiring and disciplining associates, based on Company Standards
  • Talk, hear, and sit for extended periods while managing PBX operations
  • Uphold the company's drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free policies within the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of previous hospitality Guest Relations experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous leadership experience required.
  • Ability to oversee phone operations and cross-departmental communication.
  • Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
