About the Opportunity

Guardian Fire Protection is currently hiring Apprentice for the Fire Sprinkler division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing and in demand and essential trade. Guardian will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Sprinkler Technician.

We are looking for hard working and hands-on individuals that want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is in high demand and it can be a long term career that can provide a well paying income with training, certification and years of quality hard work.

Compensation

  • This is an Hourly position and the pay rate is contingent experience and background. It will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Potential Quarterly Bonuses
  • All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am, paid at the time and half rate for every day of the week

Qualifications

  • A current valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.
  • Three years of licensed driving experience is required.
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools such as channel locks and pipe wrenches.
  • Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shift when needed.
  • Capable and willing to learn and study about the different fire sprinkler systems in order to pass tests and become certified.
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
  • Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
  • Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.
  • Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
