McDaniels Auto Group is seeking an experienced, results-driven General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead and develop our sales operations in Charleston, South Carolina.

What You'll Do
• Lead all variable operations with a focus on sales performance, profitability, inventory management, and customer satisfaction
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop Sales Managers and Sales Professionals
• Establish and maintain a culture of accountability and performance
• Monitor and improve sales process execution, CRM utilization, lead management, appointment setting, follow-up, and closing performance
• Collaborate with Fixed Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to achieve dealership goals
• Review and analyze dealership performance metrics and implement action plans as needed
• Drive growth in new, used, and certified vehicle sales
• Manage inventory levels, aging units, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts
• Maintain strong manufacturer relationships and ensure compliance with brand standards
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and leadership development activities
Qualifications
• Automotive dealership GM or GSM experience required
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Experience managing sales managers and large sales teams
• Strong understanding of CRM processes, lead management, and dealership operations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and execute strategic plans
• Demonstrated success in inventory management and variable operations
