Job description

Position Summary
MAG is recruiting for a Ground Systems Controller / Field Service Representitive to support the ULTRA program/contract. The GSC/FSR functions as a technical expert for ground systems with an emphasis on network maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and general support for the CONUS ULTRA GCS in support of operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Maintain, configure, and support Ground Control Station (GCS) hardware and software systems.
  • Manage and maintain GCS network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and servers.
  • Ensure reliable operation of LOS and BLOS communication links (SATCOM, RF, and
    IP-based links).
  • Perform system updates, upgrades, and configuration changes in accordance with
    program and customer requirements.
  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for GCS and network-related issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, FSRs, and operational teams based on customer requirements.
  • Support system integration, testing, and validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex GCS and network issues during operations and
    deployments.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
GCS FSR Required Skills/Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience supporting GCS systems and equipment, network infrastructure, or mission-critical control systems
  • Strong understanding of IP networking (Layer 1-3), including VLANs, routing, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) datalink and communications systems.
  • Ability to work independently while serving as a technical point of contact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in customer-facing environments.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (required).
  • CompTIA Network+ certification (required).

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting aviation, UAS, or defense-related programs.
  • Familiarity with SATCOM systems and RF networking concepts.
  • Experience supporting deployed or operational environments.
  • Additional relevant networking or security certifications (e.g., CCNA).

Clearance
  • US Citizen and Active Secret Clearance required

CONUS based, with potential for OCONUS travel.
