Electricians – Industrial & Commercial

Location: Augusta, GA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Staffing Partner: GSA Staffing

Client: Prestigious Construction & Engineering Contractor

Overview

GSA Staffing is currently hiring skilled Industrial Journeyman Electricians, Commercial Journeyman Electricians, and Commercial Apprentices to support a well-established and highly respected Construction and Engineering contractor. These roles offer competitive pay, steady work, and opportunities to support high-profile projects across the region. Per diem may be available for certain projects depending on assignment and location.

Open Positions & Pay Rates

Industrial Journeyman Electrician

Pay Rate: $28–$34 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems
  • Work with motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs (installation and terminations)
  • Bend and install rigid, EMT, and conduit systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, and blueprints
  • Perform work in accordance with NEC, OSHA, and site safety requirements
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Electrician experience in industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution and control systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in electrical testing and troubleshooting

Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service commercial electrical systems
  • Rough-in and finish electrical installations
  • Bend and install EMT conduit and cable tray systems
  • Install lighting, panels, switchgear, and devices
  • Read and interpret commercial electrical blueprints
  • Maintain jobsite safety and quality standards

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman-level experience in commercial construction
  • Solid understanding of NEC requirements
  • Ability to read plans and layout work efficiently
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Commercial Apprentice Electrician

Pay Rate: $18–$22 per hour (based on experience)
