Job description

Description
REMOTE NEW JERSEY CONSUMER DEBT-RESOLUTION ATTORNEY
Huron Law Group PLLC | $80,000+ per year | 100% Remote
Work From Anywhere in New Jersey (or beyond)
Ready to Practice Law Without the Grind of Billable Hours or a Commute?
Huron Law Group PLLC, an established, and rapidly growing national debt relief law firm, is seeking an enthusiastic and personable New Jersey-licensed attorney to manage debt resolution files and consult with firm clients on a fully remote basis. If you're upbeat, engaging, patient, and comfortable with a high volume of client interaction and customer service - This is the job for you!
This isn't a courtroom grind or a document-review assembly line. It's a client-facing, relationship-driven role where your voice and your judgment make a daily difference in people's lives.
What You'll Do
Client Consultation & Communication
• Conduct phone consultations with prospective and current clients about their debt resolution options and account status
• Educate and guide clients through each stage of the debt resolution process, ensuring they understand their rights, obligations, and next steps
File & Settlement Oversight
• Manage an active caseload of consumer debt resolution files from intake through resolution
• Provide oversight and guidance on settlement negotiations handled by firm staff
Document & Paralegal Review
• Review and approve legal documents prepared by the firm's paralegals prior to filing or client delivery
• Conduct periodic file reviews to confirm accuracy and compliance with firm standards
• Serve as a trusted legal resource for staff and clients alike
General Legal Support
• Provide legal assistance and guidance to firm staff and clients as needed
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service across a high volume of client interactions
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
• Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey, in good standing with the State Bar of New Jersey
• Reliable access to a computer and comfort using standard business software in a remote work environment
• Strong phone-based communication skills, with the patience and professionalism to guide clients through a high volume of consultations
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in debtor/creditor, collections, or bankruptcy law
• Experience in consumer debt defense
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting at $80,000/year - commensurate with experience
• Opportunities for discretionary bonuses and annual merit increases up to 5%
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with employer match
• We invest in your license: New Jersey State Bar dues and CLE requirements covered
• Real time off: PTO, company holidays, and floating holidays
• Peace of mind: Group Life, AD&D, and short/long-term disability coverage options
• Support when you need it: Employee Assistance Program for personal, family, legal, and financial matters
• Room to grow: Internal advancement opportunities and employee recognition programs
• Genuine remote flexibility with a supportive, collaborative team culture
Physical, Environmental, and Remote Work Requirements
• Prolonged periods of sitting and frequent computer use
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Fully remote position: employees are expected to work from their designated work location (typically their address on file) during business hours. Work from alternate locations must be approved in advance by the department Director.
• Employees are expected to be fully present and accountable, maintaining productivity and responsiveness through approved communication channels and tools, and focusing on work-related responsibilities during business hours.
Is This You?
You're a New Jersey-barred attorney who'd rather build real relationships with clients than chase billable hours. You like the phone. You like explaining things clearly. You want a firm that will invest in your career while you help people get their financial lives back on track without leaving home.
Apply today and bring your legal skills to a firm that's growing fast and built to last.
