Job Summary:

We are seeking a sharp, intellectually curious strategy & analytics professional to join the Wealth Solutions team. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and a mandate to shape how our teams operate as we scale. You will be embedded with operating teams, creating clear metrics, durable operating rhythms, and execution processes that keep decision-ready insights flowing across the business. You will also lead the strategic projects that follow directly from your analysis, from insight through implementation.

This role is designed for someone who has developed strong analytical and modeling skills in a demanding environment such as management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or a data-driven operating company. You are someone who doesn't just build models and dashboards — you ask "so what?", surface the insight, and translate it into a clear recommendation that moves the business forward, then see it through.  You will work across client analytics, revenue performance, and operational effectiveness, helping the Wealth Solutions team make smarter, faster decisions on behalf of our advisors and the families they serve. This role is a natural launchpad into broader strategy and operating leadership within Mercer Advisors.

Essential Job Functions will include:

  • Analyze client segmentation and revenue data to identify trends, inform growth strategy, and uncover opportunities to deepen relationships and improve retention across the Wealth Solutions client base.
  • Analyze operational data — including team capacity, workload distribution, wait times, and demand trends — to identify patterns, surface actionable insights, and develop recommendations that drive continuous improvement across the Wealth Solutions organization.
  • Build and maintain models that track key operational and capacity metrics, support workforce planning and resource allocation, and measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Create and lead the systems to drive successful execution.
  • Partner with leaders across Wealth Solutions, Finance, and the Business Intelligence team to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and clear, concise outputs.
  • Develop and present crisp, well-structured analyses and recommendations to senior leadership — turning complex data into a compelling narrative.
  • Monitor client retention, revenue trends, and operational performance metrics; proactively flag risks and opportunities with supporting analysis.
  • Lead strategic initiatives from framing through execution to improve advisor productivity, client experience, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to leverage existing data infrastructure, and identify gaps where new data sources or reporting tools would enhance decision-making.
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by senior leadership, with the ability to move quickly and adapt to evolving priorities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in finance, economics, business, mathematics, or a related analytical field preferred.
  • 4-6 years' experience with 2+ years in a rigorous, analytical environment — private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a strategy/analytics function at a high-growth company.
  • Strong financial and analytical modeling skills; comfort building models from scratch and stress-testing assumptions.
  • Ability to synthesize large and complex data sets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations — not just reporting what happened but explaining why and what to do about it.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present analysis to senior audiences in a structured, confident, and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; comfort leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and synthesis is a differentiating asset. Experience with SQL, Python, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus but not required.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in getting into the details of how a wealth management business operates and creates value for clients.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.

Work Schedule: This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet client and business deadlines.
