Salary: $18.25 to $20

Crew Sunday Manager
Location: North County Christ the King Church Lynden
Reports to: Crew & High School Pastor & Crew Sunday Manager
Classification: Part-Time, Hourly (approx. 8 hours/week)
Department: Next Generation Ministries (Crew)


Overview of Position
The Crew Sunday Teacher helps 4th and 5th grade students school students find and follow Jesus by
teaching biblical truth in an engaging, age-appropriate, and relational way. This role supports NCCTKs
discipleship goals through consistent Sunday leadership, thoughtful preparation, and collaboration with
the Crew team.
Weekly Hours (8 Total)
3 hours Lesson preparation and weekly meetings with Crew & High School Pastor for review,
alignment, and development.
5 hours Sunday ministry including worship participation, Crew teaching, relational time with
students, and setup/cleanup as needed.


Essential Responsibilities


Teaching & Curriculum
Prepare and teach the weekly Grow Curriculum lesson under the direction of Crew Leadership.
Ensure all teaching is biblically accurate, relevant, and age appropriate.
Incorporate prayer, discussion, and interaction to help students engage with the material.
Be prepared and organized each Sunday with lesson materials, visuals, or activities.
Sunday Responsibilities
Arrive at 7:45 in the Crew room to turn on equipment and set up.
Arrive 10 minutes before service in the Worship Center to greet students and participate in worship.
Lead the Crew teaching time following the set rhythm:
- Announcements (Crew Manager 5 min)
- Student check-in (Crew Manager 58 min)
- Lesson & discussion (Crew Teacher 20 min)
- Free/play time (810 min)
Partner with Crew Manager to help students stay focused and to create a warm, relational environment.
Engage with students before, during, and after the lesson to build relationships.
Assist with clean-up and ensure a safe and positive parent pick-up transition.
Training & Accountability
Meet weekly with Crew & High School Pastor to review lessons and receive feedback or coaching.
Collaborate with Crew Sunday Manager for Sunday oversight, rhythm, and support.
Attend periodic Next Gen or Crew team trainings or meetings as requested.

Qualifications & Skills
A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with NCCTKs mission and
values.
Heart for middle school students and ability to connect relationally.
Clear communicator with a teachable spirit.
Reliable, consistent, and proactive.
Previous teaching or youth ministry experience preferred.
