Job description

SUMMARY:

This is entry-level general maintenance, janitorial, and repair work. This person performs various unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of facilities, buildings, equipment, and fixtures. Assignments will be given orally or through written instructions. This person shall possess evidence of skill proficiency required in the performance of the duties and responsibilities listed below. This person shall report to the grounds supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain general upkeep of all campus grounds.
2. Maintain flowerbeds, trim and remove shrubs.
3. Clean gutters.
4. Pressure wash areas as needed.
5. Use hand tools.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous grounds experience

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience operating zero-turn mowers
  • Experience operation implements such as land-plain, tillers, and box blade
