Job description

Groundskeeper / Grounds Maintenance

Immediate Opening – Cooperative Community

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, hands-on Groundskeeper/Maintenance Crew Member to assist with the day-to-day upkeep and appearance of our cooperative community. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general grounds and maintenance work, including landscaping, light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other repair tasks as needed.
  • Maintain the overall appearance and curb appeal of the community to ensure it remains clean, attractive, and welcoming at all times.
  • Monitor and report maintenance concerns or property issues to management promptly.
  • Pick up trash and debris daily throughout common areas, streets, and vacant sites; empty common-area trash receptacles as needed.
  • Perform minor repairs and upkeep of community equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of community amenities, including the clubhouse, offices, restrooms, laundry facilities, maintenance garage, and other shared areas.
  • Maintain vacant lots/sites, including debris removal and general cleanup.
  • Complete property condition checklists before and after resident occupancy.
  • Inspect common areas regularly to ensure proper operation and safety.
  • Assist with pool maintenance, including testing and adjusting chemical levels, where applicable.
  • Follow all safety procedures and safely operate tools, equipment, and vehicles while performing duties.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of general maintenance or groundskeeping experience in HOA, Condo or Cooperative community required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and basic mechanical systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and commitment to quality work and customer service.
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute consistently to the property required.

Water’s Edge RV Resort, located in Punta Gorda is a 55+ RV Resort Community looking for a full-time, year round Groundskeeper/Grounds Maintenance crew-member, who will be responsible for keeping our community running smoothly and looking its best. 

We are looking for someone reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented who is willing to jump in where needed and help keep our community running smoothly. Pride in workmanship, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are highly valued in this role.
